Mesta as is Norway’s largest contracting group in the area of road and highway construction as well as related operations and maintenance. Mesta was established on 1 January 2003, at which time the production division of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration was demerged as a separate limited company and made subject to competition. However, the history of the company dates back as early as the first half of the 1800’s.
Our construction of roads and keeping them open to traffic over many generations has allowed Mesta to do their part in connecting people and Norway’s various regions together. It is on this basis that Mesta proudly proclaims its motto GETTING PEOPLE THERE.
Mesta is organized as a Group with eight subsidiaries: Mesta Entreprenør as, Mesta Drift as, Mesta Eiendom as, Mesta Elektro as, Mesta Asfalt as, Mesta Stein as, Mesta Verksted as and Geo Survey as.
Thanks to our unique competence relating to highway construction and maintenance, nationwide operations and many generations of experience, Mesta has the best qualifications for performing the various tasks involved in the construction and maintenance of roads and highways – ranging from project start-up to project completion and delivery.
